1. acceptable use

bullshitmeter is designed for personal and educational use as a real-time reflection tool for fact-checking and rhetoric analysis. acceptable uses include:

• analyzing speeches, debates, podcasts, or conversations with the consent of all parties
• personal fact-checking and critical thinking exercises
• educational use in classrooms, workshops, or training sessions
• reviewing your own speaking patterns and claims

2. recording and consent

you are responsible for informing all parties being recorded where legally required. many jurisdictions require the consent of all parties before audio recording. failure to obtain proper consent may violate local, state, or national laws.

the following recording activities are strictly prohibited:

• illegal surveillance or covert recording of individuals without consent
• recording private conversations without the knowledge and consent of all participants

3. harassment and misuse

you must not use bullshitmeter to:

4. service abuse

the following activities are prohibited:

• automated or programmatic access to the service (bots, scrapers, scripts) without prior written consent
• spamming or overloading the service infrastructure
• attempting to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
• reverse-engineering, decompiling, or extracting source code from the service
• creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans

5. content accuracy and limitations

ai-generated verdicts and analysis may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. you acknowledge and accept that:

• verdicts are auto-generated by ai models and may contain errors
• the service is not a substitute for professional fact-checking, journalism, or expert analysis
• the service is not a substitute for legal advice or professional counsel of any kind
• ai knowledge has a training cutoff date and may not reflect the most recent events
• you should not present ai-generated verdicts as authoritative or definitive conclusions

6. enforcement

we reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate this usage policy. violations may result in immediate account suspension without prior notice. we may also report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
